Job Description: 

RTS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our engineering team. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive hardware testing strategies for a wide range of components, support various forms of radiation effects testing (total dose, neutron, dose rate, single event effects) both at the Colorado Springs facility as well as off-site facilities, work with customers to define test requirements, work with test technicians, engineers and management to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement hardware test plans, protocols, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain test hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Perform rigorous hardware testing, including functional, performance, and reliability testing.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with engineers and test technicians to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain test documentation and procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability considerations.
  • Contribute to the development of new testing methodologies and tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience testing a wide variety of electronic components from diodes to memories.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with test data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with radiation effects testing of components.
