Job Title: Manufacturing Test EngineerJob Description

This role combines manufacturing engineering and test engineering to support the planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing processes for aerospace products. The Manufacturing Test Engineer designs and implements test fixtures and test plans, conducts environmental testing, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and enhance product performance and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate manufacturing processes to ensure products move efficiently from design through production and test.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to blend manufacturing and test engineering activities into a cohesive workflow.
  • Design, develop, and maintain test fixtures that support production and environmental testing requirements.
  • Create detailed test plans and test documentation to ensure repeatable, reliable test execution and clear traceability.
  • Perform environmental testing, including thermal vacuum (TVAC), shock, and vibration testing, in accordance with aerospace standards and internal procedures.
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manufacturing and test costs while improving product quality and reliability.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of manufacturing and test processes as the organization scales to larger platforms and satellite constellations.
  • Ensure all test activities adhere to internal quality standards and applicable aerospace industry requirements.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with team members in a highly transparent, collaborative environment.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on production processes and process planning.
  • Experience in test engineering, including the design and execution of test procedures and test plans.
  • Hands-on experience with environmental testing such as thermal vacuum (TVAC), shock, and vibration testing.
  • Background in aerospace products or systems, with aerospace experience preferred.
  • Ability to design and develop test fixtures for mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.
