Primary Responsibilities/Tasks of Device Test Engineer:

  • Min 5+ Years of Experience with different Cellular/Mobile Devices based on iOS operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of 3GPP 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE mobile technologies and architecture.
  • Good understanding of 3GPP standards; signalling call flows, Layers 1/2/3
  • Develop and execute device test plans, and validate Mobile device cellular feature capabilities 5G, VoNR, VoLTE, VoWiFi, LTE)
  • Experience with different cellular modem chipsets โ€“ Qualcomm (QCOM), MediaTek (MTK), Samsung (LSI), etc
  • Experience with modem logging/analysis tools such as QXDM, QPST, XCAL, XCAP
  • Familiarity with SIM / eSIM design and provisioning flows
  • Experience in testing Wi-Fi and Passpoint configurations (HS2.0/802.1x/WPA3)
  • Analyze, determine, and document issues; Communicate testing progress / technical reports
  • Basic programming skills, especially in Python
  • Is Proactive and works independently with minimal supervisionย 

Key Must-Haves:

  • iOS Debug expertise (mandatory)
  • Skilled in log analysis (70%) and device testing (30%)
  • Strong in 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, VoLTE, VoNR
  • Excellent in Wi-Fi
  • Deep knowledge of 3GPP standards, signalling call flows (Layers 1/2/3)
  • Hands-on with SIM/eSIM (critical)
  • QXDM expertise (mandatory) + other modem tools (QPST, XCAL, XCAP)
  • Experience with Qualcomm, MediaTek, Samsung, Intel chipsets
  • Able to own tasks, work independently, and coordinate with vendors

Nice to Have:

  • Python scripting (basic)
