Responsibilities & Expectations:
As the Team Lead for Business Development Representatives, you will help drive sales performance in the electromechanical repair, power management, and renewable energy sectors. You will lead a team of BDRs focused on identifying and converting new business opportunities, supporting existing customers, and promoting our industry-leading solutions in motor repair, predictive maintenance, energy efficiency, and sustainability. In addition to mentoring and coaching the team, you will contribute directly to revenue generation through strategic outreach and customer engagement.
Sales Leadership & Coaching
  • Lead and support a team of Business Development Representatives responsible for outbound sales activity across industrial, utility, and renewable sectors.
  • Provide daily coaching, training, and feedback to ensure the team understands our value proposition in the electromechanical and power services market.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, pipeline reviews, and performance check-ins.

Sales Execution
  • Personally drive outbound prospecting to generate leads in industries such as manufacturing, utilities, transportation, and renewable energy.
  • Promote the company's core services-including motor and generator repair, predictive maintenance, asset management, and power system upgrades-to drive new business.

Customer & Market Engagement
  • Build relationships with prospects and customers by understanding their operational challenges and offering tailored, value-driven solutions.
  • Represent the brand as a trusted partner in reliability, uptime, and energy efficiency initiatives.

Performance Management
  • Monitor and track team KPIs including call volume, qualified leads, opportunities, and closed sales.
  • Use CRM tools and reporting dashboards to manage performance and identify trends or gaps.

Collaboration & Strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with Field Sales, Service Center Operations, and Engineering to ensure alignment on customer needs and project requirements.
  • Share feedback from customer conversations to help shape go-to-market and account-based strategies.

Industry Learning & Development
  • Stay current on industry trends in electromechanical repair, power distribution, and renewables, including regulatory changes and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure your team understands how to position solutions such as motor efficiency upgrades, renewable integration, and energy storage systems.

Qualifications and Competencies:
Education & Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or customer-facing commercial roles-preferably within electromechanical repair, industrial services, power management, or related technical service industries.

Technical & Industry Knowledge
  • Understanding of industrial equipment such as electric motors, generators, switchgear, transformers, or related service offerings (repair, testing, predictive maintenance, field service)
  • Working knowledge of reliability concepts (uptime, maintenance strategies, asset management, energy efficiency) or willingness to learn quickly

Sales & Leadership Skills
  • Proven ability to prospect, qualify leads, and build relationships with customers in manufacturing, utilities, transportation, or renewable sectors
  • Strong coaching and development skills
  • Skilled in storytelling and communicating value propositions in technical or industrial environments

Communication & Collaboration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
