Common CertificationsNone specifically required, but certifications like PMP can be beneficial

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Development Analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Development Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis, and a relevant degree such as finance, economics, or business. Familiarity with data visualization tools (like Tableau or Power BI), SQL, and advanced Excel, as well as certifications in analytics or project management, are typically required. These skills ensure effective decision-making and drive organizational growth through informed strategy and process improvements.

How does a Development Analyst typically contribute to cross-functional project teams within an organization?

Development Analysts play a crucial role in cross-functional project teams by gathering and analyzing data, identifying trends, and translating business requirements into actionable insights. They often collaborate closely with stakeholders from IT, finance, operations, and management to ensure project goals align with organizational strategy. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as Development Analysts must bridge gaps between technical and non-technical team members. This collaborative environment offers exposure to multiple departments and can open pathways for career advancement in project management or business analysis.

What are Development Analysts?

Development Analysts are professionals who evaluate data, processes, and programs to support organizational growth and strategic planning. They collect and analyze information to identify trends, assess project feasibility, and recommend improvements for efficiency and effectiveness. Job description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven, intellectually curious Business Development Analyst to join our sales team. You will work directly alongside the senior business development team supporting some of the most complex, high-value deals in the data center industry — transactions with hyperscalers and large cloud providers. This role is built for someone who wants to learn enterprise sales from the inside out: how deals are structured, how buyer relationships are cultivated over time, and how market intelligence shapes strategy. You'll be doing substantive work from day one.

Location: Dallas, TX or NY, NY (In-office with some travel)

We’ll trust you to:

Sales Support & Deal Participation

  • Assist in preparing RFP responses, proposals, and presentations for active opportunities
  • Support due diligence processes, customer data requests, and follow-up coordination
  • Attend customer meetings and site tours alongside senior business development team — observe, contribute, and build relationships over time
  • Help manage deal timelines and internal coordination across cross-functional teams

Market Intelligence & Demand Tracking

  • Monitor hyperscaler and neocloud capacity announcements, leasing activity, and data center pipeline signals across key markets
  • Track competitor supply, absorption rates, and pricing trends in US hyperscaler market
  • Maintain and update internal demand trackers, account maps, and opportunity logs
  • Synthesize market data into briefings that inform senior business development strategy

Relationship Building

  • Develop working relationships with customer contacts at the analyst and manager level
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and local networking functions (DCD, Bisnow, etc.) as required
  • Build familiarity and trust with key accounts so you can eventually own parts of the relationship

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required — business, IT, engineering, real estate, finance, or related field
  • 0–1 years of experience; new graduates welcome
  • Genuine curiosity about the data center industry, cloud infrastructure, or commercial real estate
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills — you'll produce materials senior leadership relies on
  • Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple workstreams without losing track of details
  • Professional presence; comfortable in client-facing settings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); Salesforce or CRM experience a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (industry events, customer meetings, site visits)
  • Comfort leveraging AI tools to drive productivity and support the growth of Related Digital
