Job description

Job Title: Field IT Support Engineer (IMAC & Infrastructure)
Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile Field IT Support Engineer to provide comprehensive operational support and execute Install, Move, Add, and Change (IMAC) requests across our corporate office and remote facility locations. You will serve as the primary on-site technical resource responsible for implementing, supporting, and repairing desktop devices, software applications, telephony systems, and network hardware.
This is a dynamic, high-mobility role that requires hands-on technical expertise and flexibility. You will handle everything from physical hardware relocations and peripheral repairs to server platform support and emergency troubleshooting. If you are a customer-focused IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced field environment, enjoys solving complex hardware/software challenges, and is comfortable with rotational travel and on-call schedules, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Deployment & IMAC Operations
• Infrastructure Relocation: Execute physical relocations, installations, and configurations of IT infrastructure devices (workstations, peripheral hardware, IP phones, network routers, and specialized terminals) as specified in service requests.
• Lifecycle Support: Manage end-to-end support for desktop devices, software applications, and multi-platform server environments, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
• Break-Fix Resolution: Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues across office and remote operational sites.
Collaboration & Field Scheduling
• Operational Readiness: Participate in scheduled off-hours maintenance, weekend work, and rotating on-call support to ensure continuous infrastructure uptime.
• Technical Communication: Interface effectively with end-users and project teams, translating technical troubleshooting steps into clear, concise updates. Maintain meticulous service request documentation.
• Process Alignment: Apply established technical processes and security guidelines to meet business needs across diverse operational environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education & Experience: 2 to 4 years of formal IT training, or 3+ years of equivalent hands-on enterprise IT experience.
• Certifications: CompTIA A+ Certification is highly preferred.
• Technical Mastery:
oSolid foundation in Windows workstations, advanced troubleshooting (hardware and software), and peripheral management.
oBasic working knowledge of networking concepts, server platforms, telecommunication systems, and enterprise productivity suites (Microsoft Office/Outlook).
• Flexibility: Must be willing and able to travel, work weekends, handle off-hour shifts, and participate in on-call rotations as required by operational demands.
Preferred Attributes
• Direct field support experience within high-throughput, mission-critical environments (such as transportation, logistics, or multi-site retail/operations).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to manage client expectations on-site.
• Self-motivated and well-organized with a strong sense of accountability and problem-solving initiative.
