Job description

General Summary: A brief description of the main purpose for this position.
The Desk Appraiser, Senior is responsible for writing estimates based on photos submitted from vehicle owners and salvage yards while adhering to NJM Appraisal Guidelines.
Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8AM to 4:15PM
Hybrid opportunity once training is complete (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Can be based out of our NJM West Trenton, Parsippany, or Hammonton office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential functions of this job are listed below in order of priority. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential duties. Regular and predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Estimate parts and labor to repair damage based on photos, while using standard automotive labor and parts-cost software.
  • Evaluate practicality of repair as opposed to payment of market value of vehicle before accident.
  • Complete, review, and reconcile supplemental repair estimates
  • Complete annual I-Car Training

Required Qualifications: Knowledge, skills & abilities, experience, minimum & desired education, certification and/or license requirements.
  • Multi-tasking, problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making abilities.
  • Technical aptitude, including working knowledge with estimating systems,
  • Adequate space for a home office and ability to work in an unsupervised environment
  • Minimum of 3 Years Body Shop experience and/or related insurance experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in CCC One Estimating platform

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PA Auto Appraiser License
  • I-Car Certified

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Pay Range: $77,698-$90,252
Eligible full-time employees receive a competitive Total Rewards package, including but not limited to a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and paid parental leave in addition to state-mandated leave.
