Job description

Job title: Senior Product Designer
Location: New York, NY (Remote)


This client is a well-established national consumer financial services leader dedicated to expanding financial access and security across millions of customers nationwide. Operating across robust web and mobile platforms, the organization combines decades of industry trust with modern digital product development to solve complex financial challenges at scale.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will take ownership of foundational, user-facing experiences and core platform capabilities that span multiple product lines, design systems, and cross-functional teams. You will collaborate directly with product, engineering, and data partners to establish design vision, translate qualitative and quantitative insights into seamless customer journeys, and elevate the overall craft across high-visibility digital initiatives.


Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in product design, UX, or digital architecture.

  • 5+ years leading design projects with a proven track record of mentoring or managing other designers.

  • 3+ years partnering with executive stakeholders to align design strategy directly with business objectives.

  • Demonstrated mastery across interaction design, visual craft, user research, and scalable design systems.

  • Deep proficiency with Figma, Miro, UserTesting, Dovetail, and modern collaborative product tooling.

  • A portfolio showcasing end-to-end thinking, complex problem-solving, and shipped cross-platform web and mobile products.


Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end design strategy for shared platform services, design systems, and cohesive multi-product touchpoints.

  • Synthesize user research, competitive insights, and product analytics into actionable, human-centered design solutions.

  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to eliminate operational friction and deliver consistent user journeys.

  • Champion and embed Design Thinking methodologies across product squads to navigate ambiguity and accelerate delivery.

  • Mentor and elevate team designers through active critique, craft guidance, and collaborative project leadership.


This is a 1-year contract offering up to $71.00/hour on W2, with fully remote flexibility from day one. Candidates based in the Charlotte, NC area will have priority consideration for direct full-time conversion opportunities upon completion of the contract term, with New York-based professionals serving as a strong secondary consideration.
