POSITION SUMMARY

As the Deposit Operations Specialist, you will assist in carrying out the daily duties of the Deposit Operations Department. Perform daily functions in Deposit Operations, Automatic Overdraft Protection (AOP) and the Relationship Manager System (RMS). As a representative of the Bank, you are required to present a positive and professional image at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of banking experience preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate in and process all duties for the various areas of the Deposit Operations Department
    • Accurately research and resolve unposted transactions daily within the predetermined deadlines
    • Accurately process and balance return Items
    • Accurately process incoming check chargeback returns
    • Reconcilement of internal bank accounts related to Deposit Operations functions
    • Account Document Review
    • Deposit/Customer Account Maintenance
    • Overdraft protection product management
    • Account verifications
    • Return Mail Processing
    • Dormant/Inactive Account Monitoring
    • HSA/IRA account management
    • ATM/ITM cash management
    • ATM/ITM balancing
    • Armored service commercial cash vault management
    • ACH Warehouse Exception processing
    • Treasury/Deceased customer reclamations/notifications
    • Reg CC monitoring/holds for ATM and mobile deposits
    • IRS tax corrections
    • Assist in the training of new team members
  • Provide support to front line staff and other bank departments through email groups and phone calls
  • Maintain an advanced knowledge of all Deposit Operations policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements
  • Consistently support, uphold and model the organization’s core values and standards
  • Complete other duties as assigned as determined by management to be reasonable and beneficial

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position operates in a professional office environment. You will be stationary at a workstation, frequently operating a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively with managers and employees. Regular use of email for communication is essential. Must be able to accurately gather and process verbal and written information and properly prepare or inspect documents. Good manual dexterity is needed for the frequent use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, copiers and telephones. Out-of-town or overnight travel may be required.
