Job description

Job Summary: The Card Services Specialist serves as a key representative of all areas within Card Services, including both credit and debit card servicing. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional support through the use of multiple servicing platforms, including Visa DPS, Falcon, Symitar, Velera, and Salesforce. As a subject matter expert, the Card Services Specialist provides guidance and support to front-line staff while also interacting directly with members to resolve inquiries and issues efficiently and professionally.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a primary point of contact within the areas of card services all aspects of credit cards, and debit card servicing. This role answers phones, assists callers with general card questions and issues, processes service ticket events within set SLA's, and responds to department emails.
  • Assists with the research and balancing of several department GL accounts.
  • Serves as a backup to others within the department ensuring critical functions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assists management with projects and process improvement design and testing.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years financial services experience to include assisting members with debit and credit card servicing is required.
  • Experience in credit and debit card operations and regulations in preferred. 

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Associates degree in a business related field is preferred.

 Other Skills Required:

  • Must possess strong collaborative problem-solving skills and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. 
  • Must be able to work with little to no direct supervision. 
  • Must possess good data analysis skills. 
  • Must have ability to prioritize demands. 
  • Must have high proficiency with Microsoft 365.
