Job Description Summary:

The primary role of the Demand Planning Analyst is to support the Demand Planning Manager and business managers in developing reliable depletions forecasts. This position helps gather, maintain, and analyze demand inputs that the organization uses to align commercial and operational forecasts. The Demand Planning Analyst will use data insights to collaborate with demand planning and business managers to improve forecast accuracy and assist with the needs of the greater demand planning team. This is a hands-on role that supports the process of developing demand forecasts and works closely with other functional teams as part of the overall S&OP and IBP processes.

Job Description:

This role follows a flexible hybrid schedule and can be performed from any Breakthru Beverage Office Location.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of statistical forecasts and manage seasonality and events to develop reliable depletion projections. Manage forecast exceptions by utilizing demand-planning reports to address variances and correct errors.
  • Interact with sales, brand management and purchasing to understand and interpret the potential impact of market trends and demand drivers. Adjust the forecast to reflect those impacts or risks.
  • Collect past/future demand factors (distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products and promotion plans, etc.) from sales and brand management.
  • Support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by updating team specific demand-related reports, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Develop and run basic ad hoc reports and analyses according to the needs of the greater demand planning team.
  • Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Supply Chain, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Business) and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in purchasing, demand planning, supply chain, finance, or a similar position with a strong focus on analytics (internship or co-op experience may be considered)
  • Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Analytic and Reporting skills
  • Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Inventory replenishment and/or supply chain experience.
  • Exposure to or training in statistical models and their application.
  • Knowledge or experience with excel modeling and/or simulation is a plus.
