THE ROLE
AMD is looking for a strategic and highly collaborative Business Development Lead - Server Platforms to support and drive AMD's server business engagement with Dell Technologies Enterprise Team. This role will serve as a key interface between AMD product management, sales, marketing, engineering, and Dell's product management and platform teams.
The Dell Business Development Lead - Server Platforms will be responsible for helping AMD win new Dell platforms, support Dell GAM Team sell-in and design-win activities, track key partner deliverables, sample status, and business execution. This individual will be technical enough to work closely with AMD product management and engineering teams, while also being able to help translate AMD's server value proposition into compelling presentations and discussions with Dell's product management organization.
This role requires strong cross-functional leadership, attention to detail, partner management skills, and the ability to help turn AMD product strategy into successful customer engagements and platform wins.
The Dell Business Development Lead - Server Platforms is a remote role based within the United States.
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate will have experience working with OEMs, server platforms, product management, sales, marketing, or business development teams. The candidate should be comfortable operating across technical, business, and program execution discussions.
Success in the role requires the ability to engage AMD executives, product managers, sales teams, marketers, finance teams, engineering teams, and Dell stakeholders. The candidate should be organized, proactive, technically credible, and capable of driving alignment across multiple teams.
Candidates are encouraged to have experience in the following areas:
Partner Leadership - Ability to serve as a key AMD interface for Dell-related activities, helping coordinate product, business, marketing, and execution priorities.
Technical Understanding - Ability to work with product management and engineering teams to understand AMD server products, platform requirements, and customer value propositions.
Business Execution - Ability to track NRE (Non-recurring engineering funds) and NRE spend, support reporting, monitor samples, and help drive partner programs from planning through execution.
Sell-In and Design-Win Support - Ability to help AMD win new Dell platforms by supporting customer presentations, product positioning, competitive analysis, and internal execution alignment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a lead AMD interface for DellL server product and platform engagement activities.
  • Support sell-in and design-win efforts to help AMD win new Dell platforms and expand AMD's presence across Dell server portfolios.
  • Work closely with AMD product management to help prepare and deliver technical and business presentations to Dell's product management teams.
  • Help manage sample tracking, including visibility into sample requirements, status, allocation, delivery, and partner needs.
  • Collaborate with AMD sales, business development, product management, marketing, and engineering teams to support Dell account execution.
  • Help synthesize Dell platform requirements and feedback into actionable inputs for AMD product management and engineering teams.
  • Support product positioning, value proposition development, and competitive messaging for Dell sell-in discussions with Dell GAM Design-in team.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities needed to support Dell platform launches, partner enablement, and new product introductions.
  • Monitor execution milestones, risks, and dependencies related to Dell platform opportunities.
  • Represent AMD's interests in discussions with Dell stakeholders, including product management, platform, marketing, and business teams.
  • Provide regular updates to AMD leadership on Dell-related business activity, sample status, design-win progress, and execution risks.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience working with OEMs, hyperscalers, enterprise server customers, or technology partners.
  • Understanding of server product development, including platforms, systems, processors, software enablement, and solution-level positioning.
  • Ability to translate technical AMD product capabilities into clear customer-facing value propositions.
  • Experience supporting sell-in motions, design-win campaigns, partner business reviews, or customer product planning discussions.
  • Strong program management and tracking skills, including the ability to manage action items, deliverables, risks, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Ability to work across product management, sales, marketing, engineering, finance, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to both technical and business audiences.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Strong understanding of business cases, product positioning, platform transitions, and customer decision-making processes.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus
