As a financial advisor and subject matter expert, you will analyze complex problems using patient-level financial and clinical data to support strategic hospital decision-making. Role will involve defining and executing a wide variety of analytical projects, anticipate client needs, establish project scope, identify data sources, translate data into polished deliverables, formulate business strategies, and present recommendations to executives. This position requires you to maintain a high degree of knowledge in healthcare, finance, and operations, including staying current on evolving industry trends. You will:
  • Interface with executive and physician leadership
  • Collaborate with professional and technical teams to pinpoint issues, achieve objectives and improve performance.
  • Audit multiple systems and data for reasonableness and investigate variances
  • Benchmark business operations relative to established best practices and internal business objectives
  • Apply innovative problem-solving in a dynamic and complex environment

Salary Range: $95,400 to $208,300 annually

We're seeking a self-motivated, creative, goal-driven professional with:
  • Related bachelor's degree required
  • MBA or MPH preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in hospital, insurance, or related healthcare finance preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau highly desired
  • Knowledge of hospital decision support and EMR systems, EPSi / Strata and Epic preferred
  • Understanding of healthcare coding systems (ICD-10-CM/PCS, UB-04, HCPCS, MS DRG, CPT, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement
  • Ability to write SQL and other coding languages a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to translate clinical needs into financial terms and explain results to a non-financial audience
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to rapid changes and industry shifts
  • Strong commitment to high-quality deliverables, professional collaboration, and skill development
