What You’ll Be Doing

Position Summary

This position is primarily responsible for the development and support of the Oracle E Business Suite of applications used at Banner.

This includes designing and implementing functional and maintainable enhancements to Oracle, maintaining the data within the application and creating any permanent or ad hoc reports to help with the stability of the Oracle applications.  The developer will prepare required documentation, and support existing applications to correct errors and improve application performance.  This position will work with business personnel, business analysts, the solutions architect, and the broader IT organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with business analysts, engineers, programmers, managers and others to design applications and interfaces
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain applications, tools and databases that integrate Oracle EBS with other applications
  • Provide database design capabilities
  • Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions that describes input, output and logical operation per Banner standards
  • Insert comments in the physical code so others can understand the program
  • Develop unit and functional test plans
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of Banner’s business practices, products and customers
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and management
  • Be available for on-call support
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table

Required

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • 5 years of experience working with Oracle Applications, including knowledge of Oracle database structure, PL/SQL and SQL
  • Maintains currency in emerging industry and process best practices and technology enablers
  • Understanding of software development and maintenance lifecycles
  • Knowledge of underlying database structures – schemas, database objects, file system structure, tables, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes and constraints
  • Highly motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to deliver quality, on-time results
  • Must be well organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as a member of a team

Preferred

  • Previous experience in Discrete Manufacturing Environment
  • Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, and other Atlassian tools
  • Experience with APIs
  • Experience with JAVA, JavaScript, XML, and HMTL
  • Experience with Oracle APEX development environment
  • Manufacturing industry experience a strong plus

Base Pay Range: $82,245 - $116,033

 The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
