Finance Director - Automotive Dealership
Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven, and experienced Finance Director. The Finance Director is responsible for leading the dealership's Finance & Insurance (F&I) operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maximizing profitability, developing the finance team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the vehicle purchase process.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Insurance team to achieve performance goals.
  • Oversee daily F&I department operations and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Monitor finance production, product penetration, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as lender and dealership policies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and lending partners.
  • Review and approve finance transactions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in structuring financing options that meet customer needs and lender requirements.
  • Monitor contracts to ensure timely funding and resolution of any funding issues.
  • Analyze departmental performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Train team members on compliance, sales processes, and dealership policies.
  • Collaborate with sales management to support dealership sales objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records and required documentation for all finance transactions.
  • Stay informed of changes in lending programs, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Attend management meetings and participate in dealership planning initiatives.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressive automotive Finance & Insurance experience, including management responsibilities.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of automotive finance regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
