New Day My Way, LLC has recently opened a day program in Trumbull County (Howland). We are currently seeking caring candidates for the position of Day Program Staff/Van Driver. This position would work under the direct supervision of the Day Program Manager

Minimum Requirements for Day Program Staff/Van Driver

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License
  • Valid Auto Insurance
  • Must pass all background checks
  • High School Diploma or GED

Day Program Staff/ Van Driver Essential Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Provide and ensure safe and efficient transportation to all program participants.
  • Drives assigned routes as needed
  • Provide supervision of clients during transportation, to include loading and unloading of riders, as needed
  • Provide supervision of clients while at the program and on outings
  • Assist in vehicle fleet maintenance as assigned by supervisor, (to include cleaning interior and exterior, re-fueling, safety checks, re-fueling, mileage tracking log, errands, etc.)
  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements for Day Program Staff /Van Driver:

  • Previous day program experience
  • Previous experience working with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge related to vehicles
  • Ability to work between the hours of 7am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Minimum of HS Diploma or GED
  • Will be required to obtain first aid and CPR certification
  • Physically able to lift and potentially carry up to 50lbs, frequently bend, squat, twist and stretch while loading and unloading passengers from vehicles and assisting individuals at the day program.
  • Ability to work in an environment where you will be exposed to behaviors and required to physically assistance with clients personal hygiene needs.
