Job description

Position Summary


The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Next Mile Tire Service, ensuring efficient scheduling, exceptional customer service, technician performance, inventory management, and company profitability. This role ensures that every customer receives fast, professional, and reliable mobile tire service while supporting the company’s growth.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage day-to-day operations of all mobile tire service vehicles and technicians.
  • Coordinate scheduling and dispatch to maximize efficiency and minimize drive time.
  • Monitor technician productivity, quality of work, and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate employees.
  • Maintain inventory levels for tires, TPMS sensors, valves, tools, and shop supplies.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure service vehicles remain operational.
  • Develop and enforce company policies, safety procedures, and service standards.
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve escalated service issues.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including revenue, labor efficiency, response time, and customer reviews.
  • Manage operating budgets and control expenses.
  • Work with vendors to negotiate pricing and maintain supply relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA, DOT (where applicable), and Arkansas business regulations.
  • Assist ownership with strategic planning, expansion opportunities, and process improvements.


Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of management experience in automotive, tire, service, and operations management preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Experience with scheduling, dispatching, and inventory management.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and improve operational performance.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient with computers, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

  • Maintain a customer satisfaction rating of 5 stars or higher.
  • Keep technician productivity above established company goals.
  • Reduce operating costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Ensure same-day or next-day service availability whenever possible.
  • Maintain accurate inventory with minimal shortages.
