Detailed Job Summary:
Need DB2 to Teradata Migration experience, at least 2-3 migrations.
Teradata Architect with hands-on experience in developing solutions to develop and manage Enterprise Data Warehouse for customer business needs.
Excellent hands-on knowledge on Teradata tools and technologies for the solution implementation. Technical architect involved in requirement gathering, analysis, technical solution designing and architecture, and implementation of DWH using Teradata, ETL, and ELT methods.
At least one project experience on migration from legacy warehouse to Teradata.
Interact with customers and their business users to gather requirements to develop and to clarify program objectives for their Teradata Datawarehouse and Business Intelligence.
Create technical solution design documentation based on the customer requirements and develop specific program/code to satisfy the business needs.
Create processes based on Teradata Solution Methodology (TSM) and standards for implementing the Teradata database and ETL/ELT architecture accordingly.
Create mapping design documents from source to logical and logical to physical model. Worked on mapping source systems with PDM (Physical data model).
Analysis and design of ETL process flow documentation and Technical Specification documentation. Creating high-level design documents for individual mapping customization.
Designing ETL/Semantic layer architecture and development of Teradata Views, Macros, Stored procedures, Join Indexes. Advanced hands-on experience on Teradata Database Administration, performance improvement activities, System administration, SQL tuning activities.
Experience and understanding of Physical Data Model and perform activities like Physical design and implementation of database objects. Worked on DDL conversions, DDL creation from physical data model using Erwin, adding new entities, attributes, building relationships, creating PI/PPI’s based on data profiling, DDL generation and deployment of database objects.
