Job description

Job Title: AIX Administrator
Duration: 12+ months
Location: Oak Brook,IL (Onsite)
Required Skills:
Working knowledge of NIS authentication and MS Active directory services conversion for Linux and AIX workloads Managing and administering IBM pSeries Unix system and AIX operating system in an enterprise environment Configuring, migrating file systems on AIX servers for multiple storage platforms using LVM Managed IBM VIOS and virtual workloads Created and deployed scripts for automation using Shell Scripts for monitoring and maintenance procedures. Managing and administering RedHat enterprise Linux Hands on skills with containers in the cloud.
  • Four (4) years' experience in implementing and administering PowerVM virtualization technologies (Virtual I/O) on IBM System pSeries platform.
  • Four (4) years as a systems administrator installing, configuring, and updating AIX 7.x on IBM pSeries hardware.
  • Four (4) years as a UNIX systems administrator managing servers in an enterprise environment consisting of 100 or more AIX servers.
  • Two (2) years' experience in migrating authentication processes from NIS to Active Directory for UNIX environment.
  • Two (2) years of experience in container technologies.
