Job Description Database Administrator Location: Lutz, FL Duration: 6 Months Pay Rate: $80/hr We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join a collaborative enterprise database team supporting a large-scale IT environment. This role will focus on both database operational support and project-based initiatives, including database architecture, cloud strategy, and migration efforts. This is a highly visible role working closely with internal IT teams, developers, project teams, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on database administration experience, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to support modernization initiatives across the database environment. Key Responsibilities Administer and support enterprise-wide database environments Build, configure, and modify new and existing database systems Help design and recommend database architectures aligned with business and IT requirements Create and document reference architectures for review and approval Support database cloud strategy initiatives and migration from on-prem environments where appropriate Assist with backup modernization efforts, including migration to enterprise backup solutions Support high availability, disaster recovery, replication, and database resiliency initiatives Partner with developers, technical teams, and project stakeholders on database-related efforts Maintain technical documentation and communicate changes clearly to the database team Mentor junior or less experienced DBA team members Participate in on-call support as needed Required Experience Strong experience as a Database Administrator in enterprise environments Experience supporting SQL Server and Oracle Experience with database architecture, administration, and operational support Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and replication Experience supporting or contributing to cloud database strategy / migrations Strong documentation, communication, and critical thinking skills Preferred Experience Experience with PostgreSQL Exposure to Azure and/or AWS PowerShell scripting Infrastructure as Code experience Exposure to ARM or Bicep ETL tools such as SSIS or Data Factory Data warehousing experience, including Snowflake
