Position Overview
Seeking a Database Administrator to support the stability, security, and performance of enterprise database environments. This role will be responsible for database architecture, optimization, monitoring, backup/recovery planning, and ongoing system maintenance while partnering with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and support database environments based on organizational requirements
  • Design and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships for scalability and efficiency
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, query execution, and overall system responsiveness
  • Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and data loss
  • Implement database security measures including user access controls, permissions, and encryption protocols
  • Support data migration efforts between systems and database versions while maintaining data integrity
  • Apply database patches, upgrades, and maintenance updates as needed
  • Forecast storage, memory, and processing requirements to support future growth
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues including performance bottlenecks, connectivity concerns, and data inconsistencies
  • Monitor database health, storage utilization, and logs to proactively identify risks or system concerns
  • Maintain documentation related to database architecture, procedures, and operational processes
  • Conduct security reviews and compliance checks to support organizational standards and best practices

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional experience

  • Working knowledge of DQL, DML, DDL, and DCL functions
  • Experience with database backup/recovery processes and performance tuning
  • Python or scripting experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license required
