Job description

This position is responsible for keeping data clean, reports reliable, and stake holders informed.  This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the challenge of problem-solving, has the ability to run and maintain SQL scripts, and steadily improve data quality and reporting operations.  You will work in a Microsoft SQL Server environment and support recurring activities while also assisting with report adjustments and ad hoc requests.  This role directly supports the accuracy and reliability of reporting used by Operations and leadership – improving decision-making, and ensuring stakeholders have what they need.

  • Execute ongoing data maintenance requests using established scripts and documented processes (e.g., adding/updating reference data, maintaining facility/location identifiers, updating contact and provider-related information).
  • Perform recurring data refresh activities and support routine uploads/ingestion of externally sourced datasets into internal repositories (including monthly refresh-type processes).
  • Monitor basic data pipeline/job health, assist with re-runs or troubleshooting, and escalate patterns or root-cause leads to senior team members/engineering as needed.
  • Support report administration activities such as validating access, assisting with report moves/migrations between environments, and verifying subscriptions after changes.
  • Implement straightforward report changes (new fields/columns, filter logic tweaks, minor layout adjustments), then test and coordinate stakeholder review.
  • Respond to day-to-day questions from Operations/Finance/Leaders by pulling datasets or pointing users to the right outputs, with attention to definitions and data lineage.
  • Identify and help retire deprecated reports, processes, or data objects to reduce noise, processing overhead and support burden.
  • Document repeatable procedures (runbooks/checklists) for recurring work such as subscription updates, monthly refreshes, and standard data maintenance requests.
  • Actively supports and complies with all components of the compliance program, including, but not limited to, completion of training and reporting of suspected violations of law and Company policy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information; abides with HIPAA and PHI guidelines at all times.
  • Reacts positively to change and performs other duties as assigned.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a data, reporting, analytics or BI support role (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Working knowledge of SQL (writing queries, validating results, updating reference data carefully, basic troubleshooting).
  • Experience supporting reporting tools such as SSRS (or similar scheduled/paginated reporting tools) including subscription/recipient management.
  • Strong communication and follow-through – able to translate a request into clear next steps, provide updates, and document outcomes.
  • Experience with Power BI (datasets, refresh, basic modeling) or exposure to BI table structures.
  • Familiarity with ETL concepts and scheduled job monitoring (SQL Agent or equivalent).
  • Experience working in regulated or operationally complex environments (healthcare/insurance is a plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Anticipate needs in a proactive manner to increase satisfaction.
  • The Company reserves the right to modify any bonus/commission structure prospectively at any time for any reason. A bonus/commission is not considered earned until it is paid, and the employee remains with the Company at the time of payment
  • Take ownership of job responsibilities by initiating prompt and appropriate follow up and/or action to problems.

We will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. Any offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.

We are an equal opportunity employer.
