Position Overview
We are seeking a Data Migration Analyst to support the successful migration of insurance data from legacy systems to the Applied EPIC platform. This role ensures data accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance while working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors. The ideal candidate has strong insurance domain knowledge and hands-on experience with data conversion and validation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to complete required steps for extracting data from multiple source systems
  • Analyze legacy systems to understand data structures, relationships, and business rules
  • Translate legacy data into target system formats, including field-level mappings, source to destination code mapping, default values, and conditional logic
  • Communicateand collaborate with business owners and internal teams (including operations and trainers) to improve data quality and resolve data issues prior to conversion
  • Lead and manage all data conversion-related meetings and calls, including pre-conversion data assessments, requirements discussions, data reviews, issue resolution, and status updates
  • Work closely with the system vendor to identify, analyze, and resolve data discrepancies
  • Validate migrated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation with source systems
  • Perform data testing and validation for each sample delivery, ensuring alignment with approved mapping documents and data change requests
  • Provide post-migration support and assist with data-related issues following go-live
  • Adhere to defined process timelines and milestones while managing data conversion activities across multiple concurrent projects

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in data migration or data analysis within the insurance industry
  • Knowledge of insurance data domains, ACORD forms and insurance data standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
  • Experience with Applied EPIC or similar insurance management systems
  • Familiarity with insurance regulatory and compliance requirements

Compensation
