Job description

The consultant will work with the Child Support Program, Enterprise System Support Process (ESSP), augmenting current program resources and provide functional/technical data migration management assistance consultation services in support of CAMS. The consultant selected for this position will work and coordinate with agency executive and managing sponsors, technical and functional staff, contractors, partners and vendors for the design and implementation of the S/4HANA upgrade project data migration and ensuring all required and appropriate project deliverables, reporting and communications are completed. The position will work with a team of functional and technical resources to identify, map and plan for the migration of data and functionality mapping from the current ECC, CRM and BW SAP system to SAP S/4HANA.
Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop and manage a data migration prep plan, monitor the progress, and manage any necessary changes, issues, and coordinate resolution.
• Identify and manage project risks, planning for documentation of potential risks, assist with implementing and managing mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present data migration preparation status reports and metrics, defining and developing schedules and/or activities, estimate resources and activity durations; monitor the progress of the data migration efforts; compare actual performance against planned/scheduled performance; adjust schedule/resources to ensure that key milestones are reached.
• Assist in functionality mapping to S/4HANA.
• Planning and identifying human resource needs
General Activities:
Project Planning: Develop, maintain and administer data migration efforts, schedule and resource needs create a project plan for the migration process, including mapping risks and potential impacts.
Data Efforts: Analyzing data, defining data anomalies, data and table mapping for current/to be with system teams, Create Technical Specification documents by utilizing Data migration experience. i.e. Source (legacy) to Target system field mapping and transformation/conversion rules for each field undertake an audit of existing data. cleanse data as necessary to remove the potential for issues with data migration.
Project Related Meetings: Coordinate, attend, lead, facilitate and document data migration meetings with functional, technical and management
Consultation: Consult with Deputy Program Director - technical and ESSP Process Manager on planning, work status, project needs
Ad Hoc Project Materials: Develop special reports and other project materials as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 2 years SAP Data Migration to S/4HANA experience
• 7 years SAP ECC, CRM and/or BW work experience
• 2 years of experience using various data migration tools and solutions that apply to SAP data migration implementations.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA functionality
• Knowledge of mapping CRM/ECC functionality to S/4HANA
• Expert level knowledge in migration of data from a customized SAP CRM/ECC/BW environment to SAP S/4HANA
• Knowledge in planning S/4HANA data migration
• Brownfield implementation experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Consultant must have sufficient documented knowledge, understanding, and experience with data migration from SAP ECC and CRM to SAP S/4HANA.
Consultant will be required to provide technical and functional assistance in the planning and preparation activities to lead the S/4HANA data migration.
Consultant must demonstrate skills and abilities to:
Develop Project Management Plans and Schedule
Analyze business problems from both a qualitative and quantitative perspective.
Provide ad-hoc requests for data.
Organize data into logical formats.
Generate briefing papers, issue papers, other management reports, and presentations. (i.e., Power-Point), when required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project.
Conduct fact finding research.
Plan, organize, document, lead and facilitate meetings and follow-up activities.
Plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
