Job description

SUMMARY: The Wealth Management Associate partners closely with their assigned external sales representatives and advisors working to promote and sell Allworth's financial advice solutions to prospective clients referred by outside partners. They are the first point of contact for external partners and prospective clients and are responsible for prompt meeting scheduling, accurate and timely data gathering and client deliverables, and generally overseeing the sales cycle to ensure a superior client experience and new business success. The role requires best-in-class relationship management and communication skills and excellent organizational skills. The ideal candidate is a natural relationship builder, ambitious, and has a strong sense of urgency and accountability to the task at hand. The Wealth Management Associate reports directly to the Head of Custodial Referral Programs but receives workflow direction from their assigned sales representatives and by meeting the demands of our external partners.

The Wealth Management Associate works actively as part of a cross-functional, centralized support team to: (1) Serve as the first point of contact for incoming new business referrals, immediately acknowledging and acting on next steps for prospective clients and the referring partner; (2) Coordinate with all internal and external parties to make sure each step of the sales cycle is completed in an optimal timeframe; and (3) Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a superior client experience and new business success.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. First point of contact (25%)
    • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming new business referrals, immediately acknowledging and acting on next steps for prospective clients and the referring partner
    • Ensure introductory meeting is scheduled in a timely manner and in coordination with all involved parties
    • Gather and document initial client case information to facilitate the introductory meeting
    • Adhere to best-in-class response and turnaround times both initially and throughout the new business process
  1. Sales cycle oversight (40%)  
  • Coordinate with all internal and external parties to ensure each step of the sales cycle is completed in an optimal timeframe
  • Work to gather the information necessary to create and disseminate prospective client deliverables, including financial plans, investment proposals, and any supplemental presentation materials
  • Oversee the onboarding process including paperwork packet creation and delivery to all appropriate parties, funding of accounts, and necessary communications
  1. Ongoing sales support (35%)
  • Maintain superior knowledge of program-specific rules of engagement and systems
  • Help to oversee assigned regional pipelines of new business opportunities
  • Provide data management and systems-related support to assigned sales reps
  • Report on the effectiveness of regional sales activity and tactics to leadership, as requested

Willingness to travel up to 10%

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-year degree in finance, business or related
  • 3+ years of sales support or related experience
  • Client service or relationship management experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or a similar CRM a plus
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
  • Well organized and with excellent attention to detail, including basic proofreading skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to learn about - and work compliantly within - the financial services industry

OSHA REQUIREMENT: This position requires the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, lift at least 15 pounds, file documents in high or low cabinets, to use the telephone and to use the computer systems.
