Summary:

The Associate Analyst will support the Data Administration team by building and maintaining standard forms and approvals for various tasks. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, consistent, and compliant referential and master data across the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills and pay close attention to finite details. A strong customer service mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment are essential.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, validate, and archive all referential and master data to ensure accuracy, standardization, and alignment across business units.
  • Document and maintain data management standards, workflows, and compliance requirements. Ensure strict adherence to SOX controls, audit requirements, and corporate governance policies.
  • Serve as a liaison with internal customers to support system updates, integrations, data accuracy, and operational needs.
  • Perform application configuration, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure high availability, reliability, and system integrity.
  • Administer, support, and optimize various enterprise applications, including SAP IS-OIL, Emerson Synthesis, Dearman Trucking suite, etc.


Requirements:

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrates ability to quickly learn new applications and processes
  • Attention to the fine details and data comparison differences
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently under changing priorities and urgencies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
  • Good time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document procedures
  • General understanding of accounting information systems, business processes, and data flows across upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.

Enhanced Skills & Additional Competencies (added for strengthening the role):

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality, validation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices related to data protection, access controls, and system auditing.

Required Experience (Commensurate with Level):

  • Associate Analyst Level: Associate/Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience with 1–3 years of relevant experience in master data, enterprise applications, or a related technical/operational field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Enterprise application administration experience across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to learn new applications
