Job description

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees analytical support and data innovation for organizational insight and discovery using various data sources across operational functions for use in promoting Community First Health Plan (Community First) strategies and in support of Community First’s sustainability plan. Ensures consistency of data definition and collection processes throughout the organization Interfaces with State regulators, contracted providers, and other health plans as a representative of Community First, including but not exclusively attending meetings and participating in work groups and calls. Manages the overall data analysis to improve quality, service, process, and cost by providing opportunity identification through data analytics and reporting.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Master’s Degree in information technology, business, mathematics, statistics or other field that requires systematic data analysis or at least five years of comparable experience with a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytics, or informatics area. Minimum of five years professional experience in a health services data environment. Extensive project management experience leading complex data-centric projects involving multiple stakeholders is required. Demonstrated proficiency in health plan data analytics products is required. Knowledge, experience and education in data analysis, including statistical analysis and database management is required. Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Office is required. Demonstrated proficiency in SAS is preferred. Experience in managing and developing high performing analysts. Experience presenting to physicians, hospital staff and Boards of Directors. Experience working with physician practices is preferred. Experience with multiple product lines is preferred. Certification by a nationally accrediting body is preferred. Experience in an HMO or managed care setting is preferred.
