Position Summary
We're seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive new business acquisition for our MSP and data center services. This role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities with mid-market businesses seeking reliable IT infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience selling technology services and understand the value proposition of managed services and colocation.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
โข Prospect and qualify new business opportunities
โข Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools
โข Conduct discovery meetings to understand client IT infrastructure needs and pain points
โข Present tailored solutions combining MSP services and data center offerings
โข Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract signing
โข Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for new business acquisition
Client Relationship Management
โข Build strong relationships with IT decision-makers and C-level executives
โข Conduct on-site assessments and facility tours of our data center
โข Collaborate with technical teams to develop comprehensive service proposals
โข Negotiate contract terms and pricing structures
โข Ensure smooth handoff to operations teams for new client onboarding
Market Development
โข Research and identify target markets and vertical opportunities
โข Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
โข Develop strategic partnerships with complementary service providers
โข Maintain knowledge of competitive landscape and market trends
โข Provide market feedback to leadership for service development
Sales Operations Support
โข Maintain accurate records in CRM system
โข Prepare detailed proposals and service quotes
โข Collaborate with Revenue Operations Manager on contract processing
โข Track and report on sales metrics and pipeline health
โข Participate in quarterly business reviews
Ideal Candidate Profile
โข MSP or data center sales experience
โข Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity
โข Experience with CRM platforms
โข Existing relationships in the Houston business community
โข Understanding of server virtualization and cloud technologies
โข Knowledge of network infrastructure and security solutions
โข Familiarity with compliance requirements (SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.)
Required Qualifications
โข Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience in technology sales)
โข 3+ years of B2B technology sales experience
โข Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
โข Experience selling recurring revenue services (SaaS, managed services, etc.)
โข Strong presentation and communication skills
โข Excellent organizational and time management abilities
โข Self-motivated with ability to work independently
