Job description

Join our team as a Junior Export Sales Representative and help bring the best of French dairy and cheese to the US market! You'll manage a growing portfolio of accounts, turn trade show leads into lasting partnerships, and be the go-to person for your clients from first call to business review. If you love building relationships as much as you love good food, this is your chance to grow a career in international trade and specialty food sales โ€” all while representing 13 renowned French dairies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of US accounts, acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day business
  • Develop and nurture strong client relationships through effective communication, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Own and develop new prospects, whether sourced from trade shows, dairy partner referrals, or other channels
  • Track client/dairy budgets on a monthly basis
  • Participate in regular team meetings and provide status updates on your accounts and pipeline
  • Contribute to the quarterly business reports (sales figures, budget tracking, reporting)
  • In support of the commercial team, prepare dairy sales analysis and meeting material (figures, presentations)
  • Attend major US trade shows (e.g., Summer and Winter Fancy Food Show), distributor shows and clients meetings across the country
  • Provide occasional support to the operational team in France as needed

Qualifications

  • 2โ€“4 years of experience in Sales, Account Management, or a client-facing commercial role. Prior experience in food, retail, or import/export is a plus but not required.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.

Professional Skills

  • Comfortable owning client relationships and driving new business independently, while working well as part of a small, collaborative team.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic core math and analytical skills required to support periodic business reviews
  • Comfortable using Microsoft business software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

Language Requirements

  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential for this role. French language proficiency is also required, given regular coordination with our France-based headquarters and dairy partners.

Embark on a career journey with us where your passion for sales and great food will thrive! We are committed to fostering a collaborative, multicultural environment that supports your professional growth as you help bring the best of French dairy to the US market.
