 Job Title: Lely Center Monroe Sales Advisor  

Reports to: Lely Center Monroe Manager


Summary

The Lely Center Monroe Sales Advisor will work within Lely's premium distribution channel representing Lely to farmers to create a profitable, enjoyable, and sustainable future in farming and ensure the highest customer satisfaction and efficiency for farmers in compliance with Lely's strategy and vision for the farm of the future. The Lely Center Monroe Sales Advisor is responsible for engaging customers in long-term relationships providing high-quality service and advice, the sales and promotion of Lely's total solutions, attracting and connecting with potential future customers within the assigned territory to gain trust, build relationships, evaluate needs and present Lely Solutions and services and achieve maximum market potential through these activities. This role is highly field based, with an expectation of being on the road approximately 3-4 days per week within the assigned territory. A company vehicle is provided, and overnight travel is limited to occasional training events. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Customer interaction & satisfaction

Visit customers regularly, identify cross- and up-selling activities for further engagement of existing customers and continue building long-term relationships.

Establish and maintain regular contact with potential customers, and advise about new developments, products, and product improvements.

Sell and promote Lely products and services based on the needs and future plans/goals for the farm, advising the customer on the best Lely solution that fits their goals, ensuring high customer satisfaction.  

Using the sales process and service agreement provided by the Lely Center, create customer quotes determining project pricing and actively negotiate with the farmer on price, deadline, and quantity. 

Actively participate & assist in planning marketing campaigns including bus tours, open houses, Learn with Lely events, trade show events, email, mail, and phone calls.  

Generating new sales leads by actively cold calling, acquisition, online activities, farm visits, and follow-up databases from local organizations. 

Maintain an active field presence, traveling within the assigned territory approximately 3-4 days per week to visit customers and prospects, home nightly expect for occasional training events. 


Sales Strategy & Development 

Responsible for creating and maintaining the sales funnel, with full utilization of the CRM tool provided by Lely to generate sales focusing on full potential in the area. Keep the CRM application up to date with the registration of all activities to maintain and grow the sales funnel. 

Maintain and modify Sales and Project folders to accurately reflect producers' position in the sales funnel.

Maintain and report an accurate producer visit schedule that aligns with the overall Lely Center Monroe sales strategy.

Maintain a good understanding of customer segmentation in the area, market trends, competitors' development activities, and developing field campaigns. 

Contribute and collaborate with the Lely Center Monroe Manager & Area Sales Manager on the annual sales plan and targets. Ensure sales targets are achieved by the end of the year. 


Stakeholder Management

Within the sales process collaborate with the Lely Center Monroe Manager & Project Lead to ensure a positive and accurate customer handoff following the sale.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Business management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of business management experience focusing on sales and/or marketing, or a combination of relevant education and experience. 

Knowledge of the Dairy Industry. A strong dairy network would be viewed as an asset.

Knowledge of computers, PC networking, and Business communications
