Job description

Customer Success Specialist, Vulcan

SynMax Houston, TX (Hybrid) Full-time

SynMax's Vulcan platform tracks energy and infrastructure construction in near real-time using satellite imagery - catching what filings and forecasts miss, months before anyone else does. We're growing fast, and we need someone who can turn interested prospects into signed customers, and signed customers into long-term fans.

This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role. You'll work hand-in-hand with our Vulcan Business Development lead to keep every deal moving, and you'll be the friendly, reliable face our customers know they can always count on.

Keep the Pipeline Moving
  • Track every active lead and trial - nobody goes quiet for lack of a follow-up.
  • Draft outreach, check-ins, and re-engagement emails that actually get replies.
  • Keep HubSpot clean and current, so the whole team always knows where things stand.
  • Shepherd trial and subscription agreements through to a signed deal.
Be the Person Customers Trust
  • Own the day-to-day relationship with our Vulcan customers.
  • Answer questions fast, and know exactly who to loop in when you can't.
  • Help new customers get up and running with a smooth, confident onboarding.
Connect the Dots
  • Relay what customers are telling you to our product and engineering teams.
  • Team up with Customer Success and Marketing to keep everything consistent and sharp.
  • Support our BD lead with the scheduling, notes, and prep that keeps deals on track.
What We're Looking For
  • You're relentless about follow-through - nothing slips through the cracks on your watch.
  • You've done customer success, account management, or sales support before, ideally somewhere SaaS or data-driven.
  • You write well and confidently - outreach and customer emails come naturally to you.
  • You're comfortable being the translator between commercial and technical teams.
  • You're organized, CRM-savvy (HubSpot a plus), and genuinely energized by a fast-moving startup.
  • Energy sector experience or connections? Even better.
Join a small, sharp team building tools that give traders, investors, and analysts a view of the world nobody else has. We move fast, we build our own tools rather than settle for off-the-shelf, and we're not afraid to hand you real ownership from day one.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.
