Our client is a growing transportation brokerage. The organization specializes in dry van transportation while also supporting reefer, oversized freight, over dimensional shipments, specialized trailers, bladders, and multi modal transportation services.
The company is continuing to expand its commercial team and is seeking transportation professionals who can contribute to business growth, customer development, and operational execution within a fast paced brokerage environment.
Position Summary
The Customer Relationship Associate (CRA) is responsible for driving new business development, managing customer relationships, and delivering transportation solutions that align with customer needs and business objectives.
This position combines brokerage sales, account management, and freight operations exposure. The ideal candidate understands freight pricing strategy, carrier coordination, transportation execution, and customer retention while operating within a non asset transportation brokerage environment.
Candidates should bring strong brokerage experience, relationship building capabilities, and a practical understanding of what it takes operationally to move freight successfully.
Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new freight opportunities and develop long term customer relationships
  • Grow and manage an active portfolio of transportation accounts
  • Expand existing customer business through account development strategies
  • Coordinate transportation solutions across:
    • Full Truckload (FTL)
    • Dry Van
    • Reefer
    • Drayage
    • Intermodal

    • Oversized and Over Dimensional Freight
  • Develop freight pricing strategies that balance competitiveness and profitability
  • Collaborate closely with Carrier Development and Operations teams to ensure successful freight execution
  • Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to support transportation capacity needs
  • Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution
  • Resolve claims, service disruptions, and transportation challenges professionally and efficiently
  • Monitor transportation market trends and identify opportunities for customer growth
  • Support carrier network development and operational performance initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, SOPs, and operational standards
  • Utilize TMS systems and transportation technology tools effectively
  • Maintain strong account retention through consistent service execution and relationship management
  • Maintain accurate account activity and customer information within internal systems
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of business development or account management experience within a non asset freight brokerage environment
  • Prior carrier sales or brokerage operations experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of freight pricing strategy and transportation execution
