Relationship Associate - Custody

Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a Relationship Associate - Custody to join the St. Petersburg, FL office.The Associate partners with the Custody Relationship Managers to provide custody services for large and complex High Net Worth (HNW) individual, institutional, Registered Investment Advisor and family office client relationships. The Associate serves as the primary contact with clients and external advisors and acts as liaison between the client/advisor, Relationship Manager and operations, coordinating the processing of all requests, ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance.

How You Will Add Value
  • Serve as primary point of contact on assigned group of custody relationships, including monitoring and reviewing account activities involving cash transactions, foreign exchanges, overdraft, and failed trade resolution
  • Cash Management for client requests (wires, ACH, checks, inter/intra account transfers)
  • Process instructions to transfer, review, and validate client instructions for authenticity
  • Process client trade instructions on various security types
  • Monitor and review account activities involving global and domestic cash transactions; process foreign exchanges
  • Work with internal groups on confirmation/affirmation trades and trade fail resolution.
  • Execute activities related to client account openings, account closings and account maintenance; assist with client onboarding
  • Process gifts and contributions
  • Execute daily account administration activities, process clients' instructions and follow through with involved departments
  • Responsible for completeness and integrity of client data on custody/trust accounting system
  • Participate in client meetings/calls as needed; assist clients with questions regarding online access
  • Daily review of prior day work, investigating variances, and following up with required parties
  • Collaborate with Relationship Manager to understand client satisfaction levels, changes in clients' business needs and future use of Fiduciary products and services
  • Participate in department projects
What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of relevant financial services industry experience
  • Prior client service / relationship management experience
  • Investment operations and investment accounting knowledge
  • Knowledge of retirement and trust accounts
