We are seeking a talented Commercial Hydronics Account Executive. Under minimal direction, this outside sales role is responsible for the sale of commercial and industrial Hydronics equipment and systems to contractors (mechanical and plumbing), engineers, architects, owners, and consultants. You will build and manage long-term relationships with your customers and our manufacturer partners.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates technical expertise to develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.
  • Determines project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet the customer's Hydronics system design and installation requirements.
  • Effectively writes, presents, and communicates bids, negotiates value, and closes sales.
  • Positively and credibly influence system design and solutions with customers. Creates competitive, high quality and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Manages multiple, ongoing, projects particularly focusing on selling HVAC equipment, service and systems.
  • Builds partnering relationships with customers and manufacturers. Understand the customer's business and speaks their language.
  • Understands, promotes and sells full breadth of CMS's hydronics line card. Stays informed on manufacturer product updates, pricing, and availability.
  • Maintains understanding of local and national building codes and energy codes. Consults with clients to properly apply CMS equipment.
  • Addresses customer's operational objectives, design objectives, project needs and requirements and sell solutions.
  • Solicits support from and communicates effectively with the entire CMS team, including service, parts, sales and inside sales support staff.
  • Assist in the development of the sales team, including recruiting and mentorship of other sales team members.
  • Keeps management informed of progress and account status. Knows when to call for assistance from upper management to keep the sales process moving.
  • Takes ownership of entire client relationships, including product promotion, system education, and client entertainment.
  • Travel to CMS manufacturer locations as required for training, education, client visits, and project-specific equipment inspections.
  • Ability to efficiently manage, update, and ensure data accuracy across multiple CRM systems
  • Responsible for supporting and assisting in the accounts receivable collection process.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as required to meet client needs and project deadlines.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years account management and leadership experience; or equivalent experience.
  • HVAC, Mechanical & Plumbing Contracting, Engineering or Construction industry experience a must.
  • Excellent initiative, interpersonal communications skills and a demonstrated ability to influence others.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, deal with ambiguity and manage high volume projects.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive and results-driven mindset
  • Will be required to work in an office environment and frequently in the field.
