Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Residential Site Superintendent - Luxury Custom Homes is responsible for delivering exceptional luxury custom

homes by leading day-to-day jobsite execution with a relentless focus on craftsmanship, detail, safety, and client

experience, while partnering closely with the Project Manager to meet design intent, schedule milestones, and client

expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Luxury Field Execution & Jobsite Leadership

• Lead all daily on-site construction activities for custom, one-off homes

• Maintain exceptional jobsite organization, cleanliness, and presentation

• Ensure work reflects architectural, structural, and interior design intent

• Protect finished work, high-end materials, and custom features

Schedule Implementation for Custom Homes

• Manage detailed phase-by-phase schedules with longer durations and dependencies

• Coordinate sequencing of high-skill trades and specialty vendors

• Plan work around inspections, design approvals, and long-lead materials

• Identify schedule risks early and collaborate with the PM on mitigation plans

Craftsmanship & Quality Control

• Inspect work continuously with a detail-driven, finish-level mindset

• Ensure tolerances, alignments, and finishes meet luxury standards

• Coordinate mock-ups, samples, and pre-installation reviews as required

• Drive punch list completion with minimal rework and callbacks

Safety, Site Care & Asset Protection

• Enforce safety standards while protecting premium materials and finishes

• Maintain dust control, material storage, and environmental protection

• Ensure jobsites remain safe, secure, and presentable for client or designer visits

Trade, Vendor & Specialty Coordination

• Set clear expectations with high-end trades regarding scope, quality, and sequencing

• Coordinate specialty vendors (custom millwork, stone, glass, automation, etc.)

• Monitor trade performance and escalate concerns to the PM promptly

• Foster a culture of professionalism and respect on site

Documentation & Systems

• Maintain detailed jobsite documentation (photos, notes, inspections)

• Track progress and issues in construction management software

• Document design clarifications, field conditions, and constructability issues

• Support closeout documentation and warranty turnover

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7–10+ years of residential construction experience, including luxury or custom homes

• Strong understanding of high-end finishes, custom details, and specialty installations

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and interior design drawings

• Excellent communication skills with trades, designers, and internal teams

• High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship

• Comfortable managing fewer homes with higher complexity

• OSHA 10/30 preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires the ability to regularly walk and stand on active residential construction jobsites with uneven terrain;

climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding; bend, kneel, crouch, and occasionally crawl to inspect work; and lift or carry materials

or equipment up to approximately 50 pounds. The role requires sufficient visual and auditory acuity to inspect

workmanship, read plans and digital devices, and communicate effectively in noisy environments. Work is performed both

indoors and outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and typical construction hazards. The

position also requires the ability to travel between jobsites and safely operate a motor vehicle, with occasional extended

or nonstandard work hours to support inspections and key project milestones.
