Description of Duties:
- Under general supervision teach a range of pharmacy technician course with a strong emphasis on the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam in order that students who complete the courses are able to achieve certification and perform work.
- Develops curriculum and implements instruction and ongoing evaluation of student performance throughout the program.
- Maintains a cooperative working relationship with staff at externship sites to provide a safe learning environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and an Associate's degree from an accredited institution OR Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science OR Doctor of Pharmacy (PHARM) degree.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology, Health Administration, Nursing or related field.
- Two years of direct work experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacist.
- Two years of teaching or workforces training experience.
