Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department. The HR Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and HR compliance. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our HR functions and initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Covering the front desk and assisting with day-to-day operations of the HR functions such as answering the main HR phone line, Emails, mail and other duties
• Maintain employee records (soft and hard copies)
• Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (grievances, performance evaluations, verification of employment, etc.)
• Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys, etc.) and take minutes
• Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
• Communicate with public services when necessary (e.g., benefits, tax authorities)
• Ensure HR documents are completed properly and filed accordingly
• Assist with planning and execution of HR-related events or initiatives
Qualifications
Education:
Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not mandatory)
• Experience: 1-2 years of HR or administrative experience (internships acceptable)
Skills:
o Strong organizational and time-management skills
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o High level of confidentiality and professionalism
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
o Familiarity with HR databases and HRIS systems is a plus
o Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices is advantageous
o Knowledge of Employee Benefits
Working Conditions:
• Office-based role
• May occasionally be required to work extended hours during peak HR period
$24-$26 an hr
