ROLE OVERVIEW:
This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year round.
We are looking for a Crusher Operator to join our team! This position is responsible to safely operate machines that convey, wash, crush & screen aggregate to produce quality sand & gravel at maximum production levels. Will need to display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members. May also operate loader to feed conveyors or load trucks.
Wage range $24-$28 per hour depending on experience.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)
  1. Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
  2. Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling and cleaning) on loader, crusher, screen and/or wash plant - including screen changes, manganese and routine maintenance.
  3. Safely and properly operate loader, dozer, and crusher, screen or wash plant.
  4. May be required to operate additional company vehicle during crusher tear down, moves and set up. Identify appropriate material to produce quality aggregate material per job specifications.
  5. Communicate with quality control personnel and make required adjustments to material blends.
  6. Shovel excess material away from crusher, screen or wash plant unit as needed.
  7. May conduct quality control sample testing.
  8. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  9. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
  10. Proven experience handling multiple projects and priorities while maintaining tight deadlines; highly organized with attention to detail.
  11. Accurately complete crushing reports and other documentation as needed.
  12. Ensure MSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  13. Operate skidster to clean up around equipment
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)
As a successful Crusher / Washplant / Screen Plant Operator you will have:
  1. Ability to hold and maintain a driver's license in accordance with all state regulations
  2. Knowledge of or past experience in equipment maintenance and operation
  3. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.
