Job description

Quarry Worker
Polycor Pennsylvania is looking for hard-working, positive team players to fill General Quarry Worker positions at our Elverson, PA location. This is a year-round outdoor job involving the extraction of granite from our quarry.
Responsibilities :
  • Operate drilling equipment.
  • Operate saws to cut large blocks of granite from the open pit quarry.
  • Follow policies and procedures to assure quality work.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Work safely, according to guidelines and training, to prevent possible injuries to self and others.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirement:
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform work outdoors regardless of weather and the elements.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, if required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Being comfortable with heights.
  • Lift and/or move over 50 pounds.

Training:
We offer training that will advance your knowledge, skills, and abilities within the industry. No experience necessary.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb ladders, balance, and stoop, kneel and crouch.
Working Conditions:
  • Employment status: Permanent / Full-time.
  • Monday to Thursday, 6h00 a.m. to 4h30 p.m.
