- Use orbital sander to sand and clean drawers and doors to smooth surface and correct any deficiencies.
- Prepare surface for paint/stain using appropriate hand tools.
- Feel surface of sanded article and visually inspect to verify quality of finished workpieces.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
- Read labels and instructions carefully and ensure completed pieces are placed correctly on rack by order.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
- Completes and maintains documentation for parts.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to operate orbital sander and other hand tools
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills as well as strong basic math skills.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive motions.
