American Metal Specialties is seeking a motivated Sales Estimating professional to join our growing sales team specializing in sheet metal precision parts. This position is responsible for providing accurate and competitive estimates in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sheet metal parts fabrication, materials and pricing. Must have excellent communication and negotiating skills.
HOURS:
Day shift: M-Fri, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
This is not a remote position.
Salary: DOE
++Monthly bonus program is paid when company-wide monthly sales goal is reached.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with customers to prepare accurate, timely and competitive estimates.
  • Work closely with management and shop personnel ensuring estimates align with company capabilities and resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer needs and offer solutions when needed.

Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in estimating or sales in the sheet metal industry
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal processes, pricing and materials
  • Sheet metal shop experience a plus, but not required
  • Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and internal teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
