Job description

Cold Heading Operator
Responsibilities:
* Independently set up and operated cold heading and thread rolling machines using setup sheets, blueprints, BOMs, tooling charts, and precision measuring instruments to produce parts within quality specifications.
* Installed and adjusted tooling, wire stock, feeds, and machine settings; performed test runs, inspections, and gauging using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and overlays to ensure dimensional accuracy.
* Troubleshot machine malfunctions, replaced worn or broken tooling, reset equipment, and made necessary mechanical adjustments to maximize machine efficiency while minimizing downtime.
* Monitored production operations, verified finished parts against drawings and quality standards, handled material and product pans safely, and assisted lower-level operators with setup and production support as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Must have mechanical ability
* Knowledge of micrometers, calipers, gauges, hand tools and related tools
* Must be able to work on Monday to Friday from 3:30pm to 12am
* Ability to read and understand blueprints
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Previous experience operating cold heading or thread roller machine
