Thread Roller Operator: Rockford, IL

We're seeking an experienced Thread Roller Operator who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components and thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining thread rolling and cold heading equipment while ensuring products consistently meet engineering specifications and quality standards. If you're mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and enjoy solving challenges while contributing to a collaborative, safety-first team, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a respected precision manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and troubleshoot single- and multi-blow cold heading/thread rolling equipment

  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts meet exact specifications

  • Perform preventative maintenance before and after tooling changes

  • Inspect tooling, setups, and finished parts to ensure quality and print compliance

  • Repair and maintain tooling and dies as needed

  • Make machine adjustments to optimize quality and production efficiency

  • Safely operate a forklift (license preferred)

  • Load wire coils onto spool racks

  • Train and mentor less experienced operators

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
