Sander / Masker / Taper — Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and dependable Sander, Masker, and Taper to join our automotive paint and body team.
Responsibilities
  • Sand vehicles and body panels to prepare surfaces for paint
  • Mask and tape vehicles accurately before entering the paint booth
  • Cover and protect glass, trim, wheels, lights, and other areas from overspray
  • Prep repaired and primed areas for final paint application
  • Identify surface imperfections that need additional attention
  • Remove masking materials after paint when needed
  • Keep the work area clean and organized
  • Work with painters and body technicians to keep vehicles moving through production
  • Follow shop safety procedures and quality standards
  • Complete work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Qualifications
  • Automotive sanding, masking, or paint-prep experience preferred
  • Knowledge of sandpaper grits and proper surface-preparation techniques
  • Ability to properly mask body lines, jambs, trim, and other vehicle areas
