Job Type: Full-time
Shifts: Day and Evening
Pay:

  • CRMA: Up to $25.56/hr. (based on experience)

  • Shift differentials and weekend differentials available
Overview

The Cedars is seeking experienced Certified Residential Medication Aides (CRMA) and Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to join our Assisted Living team.

This role is best suited for candidates with prior assisted living or direct care experience who are confident providing hands-on resident care in a structured, person-centered environment.

We are specifically seeking individuals with a valid 40-hour CRMA certification and direct assisted living experience.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications in accordance with state regulations (CRMA)
  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
  • Deliver consistent, person-centered care to assisted living residents
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and resident advocacy
  • Support engagement in daily activities and routines
  • Follow care plans and document care accurately
  • Communicate effectively with care team members
Minimum Requirements
  • Valid State of Maine CRMA certification (40-hour course required)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in assisted living or direct care (required)
  • PSS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Memory care experience strongly preferred
  • Strong reliability, professionalism, and communication skills
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior assisted living or memory care experience
  • Strong understanding of resident-centered care principles
  • Experience supporting residents with activities of daily living
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
