Job description

Data Intelligence is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to support the Naval Criminal Investigative Services IT at NCIS Headquarters in Quantico, VA. This role focuses on advanced data analytics, statistical modeling, and integration of data-driven solutions to enhance investigative and intelligence capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data science methodologies, software integration, and scalable analytics architectures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain advanced data science and analytics solutions
  • Design and execute data analysis workflows using statistical and mathematical modeling techniques
  • Build and manage ETL pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and delivering structured and unstructured data
  • Develop and integrate APIs and data services to support enterprise analytics platforms
  • Perform software integration and testing, including development and execution of test plans and scripts
  • Utilize Python, R, and other scripting languages for data analysis and automation
  • Apply data mining, graph algorithms, and statistical techniques to support mission objectives
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, search indexes, and web application servers
  • Leverage tools such as Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, NumPy, Requests, and related data science libraries
  • Create data visualizations and dashboards using spreadsheets and other tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure analytics solutions

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in data science or advanced analytics
  • Experience with software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts
  • Strong experience with scripting languages such as Python and R
  • Experience with data science, data mining, statistics, and graph algorithms
  • Proficiency with SQL, NoSQL, API development, ETL pipelines, web application servers, and search indexing technologies
  • Experience using tools and frameworks such as:
    • Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, NumPy, Requests
