Job description

Job Summary:
The Master Data Analyst is responsible for supporting and coordinating North America master data governance activities to ensure high-quality, consistent, and trusted data across systems and platforms. This role partners closely with business data stewards, functional teams, IT, and reporting teams to define, maintain, and improve master data attributes, processes, and data quality.
The Master Data Analyst plays a critical role in ERP master data execution, governance compliance, and reporting design enablement for both ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
Essential Functions:
Master Data Governance & Stewardship
  • Support and coordinate North America master data governance activities across key domains (e.g., Customer, Product, Vendor, Material, Location).
  • Partner with business data stewards to maintain master data standards, ownership, and accountability.
  • Facilitate governance workflows related to master data creation, change, approval, and retirement.
  • Ensure adherence to master data policies, naming standards, hierarchies, and reference data definitions.

Master Data Maintenance & Quality
  • Work with business and functional teams to define, validate, and maintain master data attributes and business rules.
  • Monitor and analyze master data quality, identifying issues related to completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Support data quality remediation efforts, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in defining and tracking data quality metrics and KPIs.

ERP Master Data Support
  • Support master data activities within the ERP environment (e.g., customer, product, vendor, pricing, organizational structures).
  • Collaborate with ERP functional teams to ensure master data supports business processes and operational needs.
  • Assist during ERP implementations, enhancements, and upgrades, including data migration, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Document master data-related processes, roles, and controls.

Reporting & Analytics Enablement
  • Partner with reporting and analytics teams to ensure master data is fit-for-purpose for ERP reporting and BI solutions.
  • Support the design of master data structures, hierarchies, and attributes that enable consistent reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate in aligning ERP master data with BI semantic models, dimensions, and reference data.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between business, IT, ERP, and BI teams on master data-related topics.
  • Support change management and communication related to master data standards and governance processes.
  • Contribute to master data documentation, training materials, and user guidance.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in master data management, data governance, or ERP data support.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE).
  • Experience working with business data stewards and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of master data concepts, including attributes, hierarchies, reference data, and data quality.
  • Experience supporting reporting and analytics initiatives (ERP reporting and/or BI tools).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience supporting master data during ERP transformations or migrations.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and operating models.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to data quality tools, MDM platforms, or data catalog tools.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments.
  • Understanding of dimensional modeling concepts (facts, dimensions) for analytics.
