Job description

Crew 1 has the primary responsibility for service, food and beverage preparation, and conveying the Caf Lola culture to restaurant guests. Crew 1 is responsible for working stations as cashier, barista, floor service and/or food prep. He/She must be cross trained on all FOH and BOH duties. Crew 1 must maintain all responsibilities as set forth below and must drive results through comprehensive knowledge of all stations and exceptional guest service.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Shift Operations:
  • Crew Members must follow all standards of conduct and policies set forth in the Book of Lola
  • Deliver excellent customer service through communication, positive attitude, and connection with customers;
  • Remain knowledgeable about all offerings and store promotions
  • Must work to ensure our guests have an exceptional dining experience, ensuring all food and beverage orders are accurate and executed in a timely manner
  • Must work to maintain cleanliness and organization within the restaurant and within assigned station(s) and follow all health and safety standards
  • Must strictly follow all food and beverage recipes and matrix when preparing all guest orders
  • Must be proactive and assist other team members as needed; if you See A Need then Meet a Need
  • Ability to follow directions and complete tasks assigned by Crew 2, Shift Leads, or Restaurant Managers
  • Contribute to a positive atmosphere by maintaining calm during periods of high stress and communicating any potential problems to the Shift Lead or Restaurant Manager on duty
  • Must be reliable and maintain proper attendance and punctuality
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required, some College preferred
  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 3 months of previous food service, retail or restaurant supervisory experience
  • Must be able to stand for 10 hours and work 50-55 hours per week
  • Must be in good physical condition and possess good communication skills
  • Must be alert to management, staff, and guest needs
  • Have the ability to lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds; kneel, bend or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; reach and grasp objects
  • Takes initiative
  • Be a brand ambassador both in and outside of the restaurant
