Overview

This is a full-time career opportunity that can be hybrid within the Fulton Bank footprint as follows: DC, DE, MD, NJ, PA, VA. This role will be supporting our Commercial Banking and Middle Market Banking teams.

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and analyze pertinent credit and financial information on all types of loans, focusing primarily on those credits that are the most complex and multi-faceted. Complex and thorough proforma and sensitivity analysis necessary. Incumbents in this role will work on credits of industries that demand an advanced level of understanding of complex issues and are expected to maintain competency in specialized areas including staying well informed on industry trends.

Responsibilities
  • Gather and review all pertinent credit and financial information of the borrower, assess risk of complete credit relationship including borrower, related entities, guarantors, and contingent liabilities, and offer insights and detailed reporting of the findings concerning credit worthiness to loan officer and/or loan committee.
  • Prepare deposit and loan summaries on customer relationships and cash flow projections on each borrower, guarantor, and contingent liability.
  • Review loan documentation to assess compliance with loan covenants and loan agreements, as well as to confirm compliance with bank regulation (e.g. Regulation B, Regulation O, etc.) and the bank's commercial lending policies.
  • Prepare advanced sensitivity analyses with stressing of a multitude of variables that drive revenue and cash flow projections.
  • Gather appropriate information to prepare loan presentations to be presented to loan officer and or Regional Loan Committees.
  • Along with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers, be an active participant in deal screening meetings to aid in fully vetting the credit.
  • Prepare projected cash flows based on historical results and generate and evaluate financial ratios to foresee future credit risks.
  • Develop global cash flow projections that comprehensively address all sources and uses of cash available to service debt.
  • Analyze financial statements and related material including the preparation of comparisons with similar companies within the bank's portfolio to develop industry matrices.
  • Assist in gathering information required by bank examiners and internal audit and ensure that all operating policies and procedures are followed.
  • Research and stay current on industry trends to maintain understanding of best practices in credit analysis.
  • Develop expertise in specific industries and provide guidance and training to other analysts and loan officers within those industries.
  • Serve as a resource for other analysts working on similar credit presentations in an area where a specialization has been developed.
Additional Responsibilities
  • May serve as a resource for Financial Center Managers by providing guidance on loan policies and loan structuring.
  • May work directly with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers to accept, prioritize, and log work requests to assist in the preparation of department management reports.
  • May serve as direct point-of-contact for customers in areas involving specialization.
  • May act as secretary for Loan Committee meetings.
  • May assist in updating and maintaining customer commitment reports, completing file work and submitting risk rating changes.
  • May assist in training in a higher and more formal capacity such as by instructing financial and/or lending courses for the benefit of analysts or other departments.
  • May analyze relationship profitability reports to help determine appropriate pricing for prospective loans.
QualificationsEducation

Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance. (Required)

Experience

8 or more years high level credit analysis experience. (Required)

5 or more years working knowledge of bank products and types of loan structuring. (Required)

Pay Transparency

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges on all job postings regardless of state. We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

The salary range for this position is $91,000.00 - $151,600.00 annually.

Additional Compensation Components

This job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units. This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
