Job Description

Position Highlights

  • The Institutional Client Group (ICG) Portfolio Manager partners with ICG Relationship Manager(s) to successfully manage a portfolio of MidCap and Large Corporate Banking credit relationships in the professional services and contractor industries
  • Grows revenue as directed by senior management by successfully closing new business relationships and retaining and expanding relationships with existing customers
  • Underwriting all types of credit account exposure, managing an assigned credit portfolio, successfully closing new business relationships and expanding existing relationships, managing credit risk and responding to prospect or customer credit questions and making independent calls on assigned portfolio of relationships

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 12-15 years' experience, preferably at national or large regional banks
  • Strong comfort levels of credit analysis on complex commercial and corporate credits ($100MM in Revenues and higher), preferably C&I loans and OORE (not CRE, dealer, equipment finance, wealth, or ABL)
  • Experience with spreads, projections, determining credit ratings
  • Comfortable arguing in support or opposition of a credit request from the relationship team to portfolio management leadership or credit approvers
  • Willingness to mentor less experienced PMs
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills
  • Able to oversee complex loan documentation with drafting counsel
  • Experience underwriting asks from existing clients as well as new prospects
  • Comfortable underwriting large exposures (routinely close to or over $100MM)
  • Familiarity with banking policy and the ability to apply it to credit approvals
  • Familiarity with Moody's Credit Lens

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00
